Characters in Flight at Downtown Disney

Ever wanted a bird's eye view of Disney without having to glue wings on like Icarus?
Thanks to this awesome addition to Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney area you can. Now at Downtown Disney West Side, guests can enjoy a ride on a tethered balloon that takes guests soaring up to 400 feet above the waterfront.
Characters in flight is a 72 foot diameter balloon with an enclosed volume of 210,00 cubic feet of lighter than air gas which has a dozen of Disney's famous "Flying Characters" silhouetted, such as Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mary Poppins to metion a few. Up to 30 guests can ride at a time on a six minute flight and help themselves to some of the best views both day and night of all the major landmarks inside of the Walt Disney World. The flights are a available seven days a week, weather permitting of course, and the boarding platform is at the end of the main promenade at Downtown Disney' West side. All Flights are operated under the control of a licensed pilot.
Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday are 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. while liftoffs Friday-Saturday are 10:30 a.m.-midnight, weather permitting. Tickets ($16 for ages 10-up and $10 for ages 3-9) can be purchased on-site. Availability is on first-come, first-served basis.
