This is the question that we hear asked the most in the ten years that we have been operating, and probably the most relevant one as well. To be perfectly honest, the answer can be summed up in one word: October!
Now you may be asking yourself why that is, what makes October such a great month? The reason why this is such a great month in Orlando is because of all of the extra events that take place during that month.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando park is home to the scariest Halloween adventure you have ever seen. Think of the haunted mansions that you have been to in the past and multiply the fun and excitement times a hundred. The entire park is converted into a series of Scare Zones and some of the rides and soundstages into the craziest walk through haunted sets you will ever see. The event starts after the park closes which is usually about 7 pm and thereafter it becomes a whole different atmosphere. Something you will never forget!
Epcot's Food and Wine Festival
This is probably the best event that Disney Epcot puts on in the entire year, or at least the one that we look forward to the most. There is no additional admission to gain access which is a huge plus, and that park takes on a festive feel as you can walk around and sample the native cuisine of a very wide variety of different countries. You can also catch some top name acts such as Big Bad Voodo Daddy, Jon Secada, Kool & the Gang, and The Smithereens performing at the American Gardens Theater while sampling one of the many delicacies they have to offer. Last but not least is the fact that October is considered one of the slower months in the industry, which translates into bigger savings on your vacation package and less crowded parks. The weather is also a lot more pleasant, which means you can enjoy the Florida sun without baking in it as many do during the hot summer months!
If October is a time of the year during which you cannot travel, you should also consider January through mid March, as the weather is still pleasant and the parks are not as congested, while the prices for traveling are reduced all around. As we all know, a vacation every once in a while is a must whether your budget be big or small. It helps us keep our heads and something to look back at fondly when grinding out the day to day tasks at the office or at home.
