Possible Halloween Horror Nights 2011 Theme Revealed

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando, Florida 2011 Theme Clues

Halloween Horror Nights 2011 Theme speculation is in full swing before this year’s event (Halloween Horror Nights 2010 – 20 Years of Fear) has even been dismantled at Universal Studios Orlando.

Halloween Horror Nights 2010 did not give fans any obvious “easter eggs” this year, although there are plenty of small clues that may give us a good idea of what is to come.

Legendary Truth to Make a Return at Halloween Horror Nights 2011?

From the Legendary Truth Facebook page

“The Senior Staff would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the COLLECTIVE on recent remarkable accomplishments and an unprecedented collaborative success. The future of the organization is now in the hands of those most suited to expand the power and influence of your groupthink loyalty and unquestioning adherence to instruction.

When you visit our website you will notice that Ms. Allison Endicott is no longer with the organization. We wish her well in future endeavors.

On a sad note, we all mourn the loss of Dr. Richard Steerington who went missing while on a recent charter fishing trip and is now presumed dead. Although the official search for his body has been called off, our new C.E.O., Mr. Gabriel Fell has personally undertaken the responsibility to see that the memory of Richard forever remains a part of LegendaryTruth.”

Will Allison Endicott turn evil? Or Richard Steerington come back from the dead - and did Ignatia Himmil (President of Legendry Truth) knock him off so that Gabriel Fell can let some demons through the cracks? Hmmm.

The term "groupthink" and reference to "unquestioning adherence to instruction" are oddly reminiscent of George Orwell's book 1984. Will Halloween Horror Nights 2011 take a political turn or play with a cult theme?

Halloween Horror Nights Icons of the Past NOT to Return in 2011!

Bringing back old Icons to this year’s even was met with a lot of resistance from fans initially, although in the end reviews for Halloween Horror Nights 2010 were generally positive. However, now almost everyone is in agreement that the icons are due to be shelved. Luckily it seems that this is what Universal Studios had in mind the whole time – 20 Years of Fear was to pay respects to the past and look toward the future. The Halloween Horror Nights Show Director even says so!

Notice he says the icons are going back into the lantern for a while – before they come back again.

Fear as an Icon to Return for Halloween Horror Nights 2011?

In the video above, Show Director Patrick Braillard also makes several comments about Fear the persona coming back in the years to come. Although, it seems Universal would like to avoid the backlash that having Jack the clown in so many events caused by changing Fear and developing him throughout the years in Halloween Horror Nights events to come.

Well, I think my film "Claws" has great characters and locations for HHN. The world of "Claws" is called UNDERWORLD, and it's a fantasy world behind closet doors and underground. Underworld is home to many strange characters like Claws (Serling Knight) who is a crazy and cool inventor, Igor (Jason Dolley) who is Claws' assistent, and Aqua (Selena Gomez) who is friends with Igor and she is a wizard/which type character. But those three characters are good guys. The villain of the story is FANGS (Bridget Mendler) who is an evil vampire who loves the dark and twisted. I think the park should become UNDERWORLD, and Fangs should take it over, unleahing frightning creatures into the land. Fangs also should twist old fairytales and make them dark, evil, and twisted for haunted houses. Underworld landscape (Castles, creepy trees, fog, graveyards, caves, strange plants) for scarezones. And park guests should be on Claws' side, and there mission is to make it through Underworld alive and destroy Fangs. True, I sent the script for "Claws" to Disney, but since Fangs is the real icon, it should be ok. I don't know, what do you guys think?

Please bring back Bloody Mary!!!! Horror Nights 2008 was the best. Think about it. Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary..... Ahhhhhhhh. Other characters don't scare as much as Bloody Mary. I mean, just the name brings you chills.
Posted @ Monday, January 10, 2011 1:54 PM by Hector M
we think that it would be an awesome idea to bring back BLOODY MARYY!!! she was a great icon in 2008,but we also think that by bringing back fear it takes away the aspect of it being brought in for 20 years of fear. jason, freddy and leatherface are all amazing characters that are soo scary and it would be great to see them come back!!! :)

I totally agree that a house for the movie THIRTEEN GHOSTS would be amazing! I got goosebumps from just thinking about it :D

They should do something with Havoc Again that would be awsome

Posted @ Sunday, January 30, 2011 10:57 AM by Robert Wood
I think a GREAT lineup for Horror Nights of 2011 would consist of the following 8:

1- Jeepers Creepers

2- Stephen King's It

3- The Hills Have Eyes

4- Halloween (Michael Meyers)

5- Body Collector

6- Resident Evil (Can't go too wrong with zombies)

7- Silent Hill

8- Nightmare on Elm Street

Typically Halloween Horror Nights features six scare zones... My favorite scare zone that they did back in the day was the cornfield

My favorited scare zones would be

1- Cornfield (featuring "scarecrows" that can jump off their posts and chase the guests)

2- "The School Zone" (undead children with rulers sent to terrify those who walk the grounds)

3- Prison Break (Prisoners are on the loose and it's armed forces versus the criminal masterminds)

4- Chainsaw zone

5- Torture device zone, let the Caretaker and his minions play

6- Dracula versus Werewolves

No offense to you commenters but most all of your requests are LAME! Jason, Freddie, Leather face, etc..Seen it before. Bloody Mary, she was cool..in 2008. Give us something fresh, give us something new! And if the creators of looking for a theme for the new halloween horror nights I urge you... Please! Do not look at these comments for a reference.

P.s. Think outside the box people.

BRING ON THE EXORCIST
Posted @ Tuesday, March 08, 2011 3:39 PM by aleck
I think that you guys should start fresh !!!!

THese should be the themes !!!

1. Scream ( because a new movie is coming out soon ) !!!

(THe Scream maze would be based on the newer movies that came out of this particular theme.)

2.Jeepers Creepers ( A newer version is said to come out soon either this year or the next and I beleive it would be great to bring out characters that many know of but havent seen before on hhn's grounds.)

3. TRick R' Treat ( Which we all know would be not only a big success but also a great big scare )

I believe these three resemble fear and the whole meaning and excitement of it.

And I believe that if possible that HHn shhould bring back FEAR himself and make a haunted house for him. And FEAR should come back to show others that he is FEAR and his reason now for coming back is because of all the fearsomeness that came from the three themes.
Posted @ Tuesday, March 15, 2011 1:00 PM by Stephen Ortiz
If that wasn't fresh enough then how about this idea.....

Something new and exciting...

The new theme should be on video games.

Games such as :

1. Left 4 Dead

2. World of War Craft

3. Nazi Zombies (From Call of Duty of course )

or 4. Resident Evil games

or even Dead Space which I believe would be an interesting attempt if done.

Posted @ Tuesday, March 15, 2011 1:09 PM by Stephen Ortiz
i think it would be great if hhn went to the islands. my parents said they went to that one and it was amazing! also when coming up with a theme something new would be nick.
Posted @ Friday, March 18, 2011 4:55 PM by Nick
What do you mean by Nick ? lol

And yeah it would be cool if Hhn this year would come back with bringing the scare to Islands of Adventures ugh it would be awesome.

Posted @ Friday, March 18, 2011 6:51 PM by Steve O
Stephen Ortiz you are a complete genius you honestly should be working for HHN !!!
Posted @ Friday, March 18, 2011 6:57 PM by Jack Cloxen
I agree with Jack with this one !

Stephen's ideas seem quite brilliant to me and you have to say that Scream house thing and Jeepers Creepers idea sounded pretty good lolz

Hahahaha you guys don't know this but I know the themes of HHN 2011 ;)
Posted @ Friday, March 18, 2011 7:11 PM by Jack is Back ;)
I think this year there should be a Lady Gaga maze lol.

It would be based on her music videos of course. lolll xD
Posted @ Saturday, March 19, 2011 4:29 PM by gary
I think they will do something new. Universal is always tring to top themselves. And as amazing as the the Islands HHN's was it prob wont happen again. Due to Dr. sues land it's in a universal contract that sues land from the makers not be anything drifferent or changed from the sues books. Which does suck cuz the islands HHN was one of the best!
Posted @ Monday, March 21, 2011 2:26 PM by Ambr
How about a cartoon haunt when you go through all these different twisted cartoons.
Posted @ Thursday, March 24, 2011 7:50 PM by CHRISTOPHER MIRANDA
Okay if i had to pick movies that would make good themes defiantly would have to be... The strangers,28 days later (The whole zombie quarantine fail ordeal), Some form of exorcism thing, creepy children also always good.

4- Chucky

I would like to see them use both parks, the first couple of years that my family and i went they were both open and it was so much fun but they have not done that in a a long while. I also like that when this first started the whole park was full of people in mask jumping out at you not the few scare zones we get now.
Posted @ Tuesday, April 12, 2011 8:27 AM by Paige
i think it should be Scream,Halloween,A nightmare on Elm Street,Friday the 13th,My bloody valentine 3D,Saw,the Exorcist, and Michael Jackson.lol.
Posted @ Tuesday, April 12, 2011 3:26 PM by Sam
maybe something from INSIDEOUS movie would be awsome!! or Parinormal Activity. ???
Posted @ Tuesday, April 12, 2011 10:02 PM by joey
I think there should be a score zone for the joker from the dark knight and have harly quinn if u know bout batman u know who that is...
Posted @ Sunday, April 17, 2011 3:00 PM by David
I want something new...something we have NEVER seen before. Something to SCARE everybody...even the guys. I want it to be so scary, that there should be a warning for the houses. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted @ Monday, April 18, 2011 9:32 PM by Shannon
Come on guys we all saw those ideas before i have the best idea ever! ok... HHN this year i think should be like a take off from last year and bring back fear and all of his minions. but this time its a whole diffrent plot. this time fear should call for help from the three best villians ever: jigsaw, zombies, and... satan himself. come on hhn just think.
Posted @ Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:15 PM by hayden
the scarezones should be

1. the boogeyman

2. bloody mary

3. the cornfeild

4. the orphanage

5. the sewer ( i think it was from 2009 year)

6. and forsaken dreams ( from the bloody mary year)

leave me comments and tell me what you think
Posted @ Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:28 PM by hayden
I really think that there should be new ideas, brand new. I do like the idea of the thirteen ghosts house and possibly scream but it should be scary as hell and just insane!!! I do think a werewolf house or scare zone would scare the shit out of some people but no more clowns thats getting kinda old, ugh i cant think of a new fresh idea. i guess just do it right universal.
Posted @ Tuesday, April 26, 2011 10:53 PM by Amber
SCREAM 4 ! :) i love hhn. cant wait for this year :)
Posted @ Wednesday, May 04, 2011 4:26 PM by abby morgan
Did anyone else hear the rumor that universal studios hollywood might go with videogames for themes in this years horror nights? like aperently they had to choose between Deadspace, Bioshock, Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead and they picked Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead. i think they should include F.E.A.R, DOOM and Deadspace for new mazes, maybe even a paranormal activities maze that would be scary too
Posted @ Thursday, May 05, 2011 6:39 PM by Mario G
i honestly think everyone should stop pushing for the scream, Freddy, Jason, jeepers creepers, saw, and the played out washed up horror movie icons its all been done before,we need fresh new ideas video games eh, it could be cool i am a huge resident evil fan myself but its not popularity that is solely gonna get our votes considered its rights and restrictions to the names copyrights and the franchises, i have thought for a while that the movie the leprechaun would be scary as hell, or maybe the movie SE7EN that movie was brutal imagine being on those crime scenes up close and personal that movie was invigorating to the senses we just need new material i am tired of all the old cliche slasher mambo jumbo out with the old in with the "WTF that is scary as hell"
Posted @ Monday, May 09, 2011 1:59 PM by juggernaut
Bloody Mary for sure.....Also liked the vampyres from a few years back!
Posted @ Monday, May 09, 2011 6:56 PM by faithful fan
BLOODY MARY
STEPHEN KINGS IT
THE EXORCISM
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
THE GRUDGE
CARRIE
HELLRAISER
ALIEN
((those are mu top choices!!))
Posted @ Monday, May 09, 2011 11:52 PM by Ria
i think they should do something totally different this year no bloody mary or anything they have had previously...and who says the movies have to be scary. Maybe they could do a twilight themed haunted house or even a cartoon like shrek! the movies dont have to be scary to make the house scary. Paranomal activity would be a good one for a scary one, and so would insidious. I also like the theme of video games...but maybe some people dont play video games and it would be pointless to have them if people dont know what the theme of the game is!! thats my opinion.
Posted @ Wednesday, May 11, 2011 2:17 PM by shaun
i personaly think that since they werent there last year, freddy, jason, and leatherface should have the theme!!! and we can have whoever didnt come tho HHNXX (scarachters not people) should have a scare zone, or house!!! the 13 ghosts theme is pretty cool too!!!
Posted @ Wednesday, May 11, 2011 5:41 PM by Roger Daniels
The idea of the 13 Ghosts is great, I think. It would make a GREAT haunted house. It would be a scare to remember! Consider it!
Posted @ Saturday, May 14, 2011 2:29 PM by Barbara Etchevarne
this is how the haunted houses should go

1. the thing (john carpenters)

2. hellraiser

3. phsycho

4.the shining

5.the mist
Posted @ Monday, May 16, 2011 6:21 AM by Ethan

ExOrcist!!!!!
Posted @ Sunday, May 29, 2011 11:30 AM by Karina
Agree with most, no re-do's, even though we missed Bloody Mary and would love to experience it - it's been done already. Love the suggestions of The Mist and 28 Days Later, because those could be totally scary! And, like the ideas of Scream, the Exorcist, and the Shining, but those might need alot of work to truly make scary. Love the idea of intertwining excellent scary stories with humor/comedy by using Tales From the Crypt. To that end, The Return of the Living Dead would be another good choice that includes scare and comedy factors. Just my 2 cents.
Posted @ Thursday, June 02, 2011 8:20 AM by P Smith
I agree with needing something new. Who wants to pay money to see the same stuff redone.
How about amityville?
28 weeks later?
I thought underworld was a good idea too.

I can say 2010 was better than the other 2 years I went 08' and 06'.
I think everyone is in agreement about Make it scary. I want to be scared . The scarier the better.

Looking forward to 2011.
Posted @ Thursday, June 02, 2011 11:02 PM by Brenda
ok ok....i gotta say that last yr was the best yr so far. I do miss Bloody Mary but i do think that HHN needs to be fresh and new. As Brenda said, who wants to see the same things over again? I think the there should be an Exorcist house and that Michael Myers does need his own house thought it may be difficult (not much to work with).
I also agree with Paige too b/c it would be a great idea to use both parks! Twice the scream for your buck! Plus, imagine what they could possibly do to the Harry Potter area! Creatures hiding behind the train, in the allyways, etc...
I just know that i can't wait to save up for a ticket and have my mind blow like they have been doing for the past 3 yrs i've been going!
Posted @ Saturday, June 04, 2011 4:19 PM by Hayley H.
The first year we went to HHN (can’t remember the year) they did not have fear or scare zones. They came out of everywhere and decorated everything. Even City Walk was decorated. The best one I have been to. Once they cut back on what was decorated and made the scare zones it was not as scary. Here are my favorites for houses.

The Howling or American werewolf in London

Texas chain saw massacre

Salem’s lot

Alien

The haunting

Poltergeist

The exorcist

Night of the living dead

Arachnophobia

These movies scared the you know what out of me. I think this would make the best HHN ever.

Posted @ Saturday, June 11, 2011 8:51 AM by erin ezell
heres another one i think would be great and scary is have a house maze and be completely dark and give each group of people a flashlight and thats all they get and have the maze filled with scary ass things from bugs to just plain everything thats scares the hell out of someone
Posted @ Saturday, June 11, 2011 9:05 AM by erin ezell
dear creators of HHN, if you are smart you will not look at any of the above comments. you will come up with your own idea. they are only giving things we have seen before. i agree with an above comment when it said "give us something fresh and new". scare us more then you have before.
Posted @ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 11:51 AM by ashley
Dear Universal,

Please do look at some of the ideas above, because some of them have not been used before. Brain storming ideas always creates some of the best stuff. I already have my reservations for this year and I can not wait. Please scared the you know what out of me.
Posted @ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 6:09 PM by susan
Freddy, jason, leatherface ect. all old timers now, while they were scary when we were 12 they are all too predictable now, time to retire. DO not bring bloody mary back. please god dont, it was awful, a 3 hour line for the shortest and most disapointing haunted house there was. i agree 100 % with something new, the directors have been doing this for 20 years and have been doing great i dont think they will dissapoint us now, make some new creatures famous, a new generation of fear. give us something new to fear at night.
Posted @ Thursday, June 16, 2011 12:21 PM by hannah banana :)
i think they should do a thing with the aliens movie. kind of like the alien war over in londen but with better sets and gun affects.
Posted @ Thursday, June 16, 2011 2:30 PM by ethan
Video game stuff might not be far off since I heard a rumor they were gonna have a house and possible scarezone based on American McGee's Alice to celebrate the sequels release.

I'd love some other video games themes too, like the aforementioned Bioshock.

Although I saw someone mentioned the Thing and that would be super awesome as long as it was like the original John Carpenter movie, it would be in Alaska!

And yes I'm sure the HHN staff has plenty of awesome plans that doesn't involve major re-hashing.

I really wish they do the two parks again or at least do Islands. I didn't get to go to the Carnage year, but I bet it was awesome. I wanna see some comic villains and some other warped areas. The possibilities are endless but I guess it must be pretty expensive to do that, if they haven't been for awhile.

If they were to base anything off an older horror movie - they should do Evil Dead, not some of the other mentioned stuff. And like seriously some guy had a script and he thinks that it would make a good addition to the event? Ego much?

PS: Jeepers Creepers sucks

Stephen kings IT!(We need more clowns)

call me crazy but the best idea i think is to use both parks and make twice the scare zones and twice the houses to kill long lines and to keep people coming back to make sure they have seen every house there. If this cost extra raise the ticket price just two dollars to make up for it because million upon million come a year. p.s legendary truth house was pure genius as far as ghosts in the floor through the walls floating and everything it was amazing

LOL at some of these comments! Paranomral activity?! Have you people ever been to HHN? If so, apparently you did not get it. Anyways, Whoever said Dead space.. I like it. The music alone would mess with the mind. I worked a house in 2008 called interstellar terror, loosely based off event horizon, and out of all the houses, other than dead exposure, it was my favorite because of the grand scale of the set, and the storyline. I wish they would do things like 2004:Whats your breaking point. Hellgate prison and the house that messed with the mind. This is the best way to create fear.

I agree new stuff!! My first year was last year 2010 and it was scary but only jump worthy!! We need something out of the box I mean hello im going on my birthday!!! I think something dealing with a sickness (YES ZOMBIES CAN COUNT) Like a hospital or something but I liked the mental hospital idea in 2010! umm The exorcist idea is awesome that movie scared the living crap out of me!!! 13 ghosts would be cool to! umm Scream is an all time fave of mine so I'd like that one!!! And instead of bloody mary why not something similar the grudge/ring!??! And maybe hellraiser that was a good movie! And I'd like it to be at islands of adventure because my family went and they said it's WAY better then universal!!! :)

@ Dylan Charles I also like the both parks idea but wont you need two times the time to mainly do everything??? When I went last year we had fast passes and we had 30 min left after we got every house and scare zone done!
Posted @ Thursday, June 23, 2011 1:44 PM by Fallon
I think they should do Insidious forsure !
Posted @ Thursday, June 23, 2011 4:49 PM by Jossiell
Please do not take it back to Islands...it is WAY to small!!!! 13 Ghost would be very cool. I agree a fresh and scary new start would be great. It is like they have no new ideas and keep bringing back the same characters over and over again. I have been to all HHN's and it was much better in the earlier days. You need more blood and gore not just people shaking load things, screaming or jumping at you.

My favorite house out of the 11 years we have gone to HHN was the Dead Silence house. This year I think they need to take a new direction for the entire theme. I don't think they should rest on old horror movies. Make a theme around something so simple that still could evoke fear in people. Like a theme of a forrest. Scare zones would include lots of trees that scareactors could lurk behind them. Houses could be about different sections of the forrest and the different creatures that inhabit it. HHN has done something similar to this and it worked because it wasn't based on movies or video games. By the way, the Thing has been done. Most of the ideas that have been talked about in the comments have been done.

im gutted theirs no Chucky [so far]i so want Chucky back or even better Chuckys insult booth and a Chucky maze but the maze will be Chucky doll boxes and things jumping out on you and also those gory living dead dolls brought to life that be cool
Posted @ Sunday, June 26, 2011 2:13 PM by anne
A scare zone with all of the popular celebrities and their problems or even just them looking creepy would be the best!
Posted @ Tuesday, June 28, 2011 11:12 PM by Julia
Seriously no one would be scared if there was a Paranormal Activity house it would be like "OMG did you see that light turn on :O". No they need to bring stuff they never had there in Orlando.

8 houses off the top

1-My Bloody Valentine (I know you're thinking if you are a big time HHN fan "They had it in 2009 in Silver Screams" they did for 1 minute but the house would be killer)

2-Scream

3-Halloween

4-13 Ghosts

5-Alien

6-The Descent

7-The Hills Have Eyes

8-30 Days of Night

And I dont care about the zones as long as they're scary.

Ok, my idea is a little diffrent but hear me out. I have this story called "Claws". It's a very action/adveture type story about a girl who lives in a dark city called Civic City and falls down a sewer hole into a place called Otherworld. She meets a young inventor and they team up to fight the evil forces in Otherworld.

The inventor becomes "Claws" a new hero. Claws' has villains that would work PERFECTLY at HHN! They are,

1. Fangs: a sinister female vampire who loves devices of tourcher and the supernatural.

2. Spike: Dr. Hector Hollingsworth is a mad scientist who drinks one of his chemicals and becomes a horrible monster.

3. Black Queen: an evil queen who loves twisted fairytales and uses cards and broken hearts as her theme. She has a very gothic style.

4. Phantom: a doctor turned gangster (1940's like) who loves the idea of games and fate. Also has a love of fear and uses victems fears against them. Also runs Raven's Asylum. Has a skull face.

They are all perfect! Fangs' house could be a dark tourcher chamber, Spike's house could be his labratory, Black Queen could be her gothic castle, and Phantom could have Raven's Asylum.

As long as Justin Bieber dies a horrible death in the Bill and Ted show I will be there! They could make fun of how lame Harry Potter is too!

1 Aztec human sacrificing!

2 Alien 2-ie Aliens

3 Dusk till Dawn!!!! (I think they had that house in 06)

4 Ebola virus

5 Road Warrior (the current economic collaps)

I think this idea is cool. They should have a house themed to Arkham Asylum from Batman and have all of Batman's villains as the scare actors. I also think that Scarecrow should play a major role in the house because he is all about fear and uses his Fear Gas on people to make them trip out and see their worst fears. Other villains i'd like to see are Joker, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Killer Croc, Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Poison Ive, and Mr. Freeze. Each room of the house could be themed to a diffrent villain. Let me know what you think! Please comment!!!
