What is the future of technology at
Disney?
According to anonymous former Disney executives (will all of the recent firings lately there are a ton to go around) the use of wireless-communication technology to tailor theme park offerings to the likes of individual visitors will be the future at Disney.
The project has been named the Next Generation Experience or NextGen for short. Not many details are known now but it is being speculated that the technology could be used for things such as keyless hotel-room locks or manybe tailored ride and show experiences that can be customized for the individual rider. Disney has an experience that is somewhat similar to this on the Spaceship Earth ride at Epcot Center that was a huge hit with park guests. In each ride car there is a small touch screen monitor that asks you a series of questions to make parts of the ride more personalized for the rider.

Disney would not discuss specifics of the project.
"Our company has a long history of leveraging technology to enhance the experience of our guests, and we are constantly exploring new opportunities to build on that legacy"
