Green Orange County Chopper Bike at Disney Epcot

In 2009 Siemens unveiled the Smart Chopper it commissioned from the Orange Country Chopper company and are now taking it on tour through America. The electric motorcycle will be at Disney's Epcot through January 30th 2010.

Bike Features:

• 350 pounds
• 60-mile range and a 100 mph top speed.
• An onboard charging unit can be plugged into any 110-volt socket to charge the bike in five hours
• A single-speed, clutch-less transmission delivers the power from a 27-hp electric motor.
• You would need four lanes in order to make a u-turn due to the massive tires and long body of the bike.

Siemens Provided:

• LED lighting outfitting the entire bike
• Electric motor
• Charging system
• Power management system
• Fiberglass design elements for the body of the bike

The chopper goes up for sale sometime in 2010 with all proceeds going to a yet to be determined charity.
