CBS and Walt Disney (which runs ABC) are said to be considering a proposal by Apple to offer a subscription-based TV service over the Internet. Presumably, this would work through iTunes like all other Apple-based content, but it could possibly work over Apple's Apple TV device - allowing content to be viewed in the living room.
An initial bundle of programs from CBS, Disney and other networks would be sold as a "Best of TV" package, and would cost $30 a month.
This comes on the heels of Comcast making strides to purchase NBC Universal. If apple moved forward with it's plans for Disney TV package it would put a big dent in Comcast's hopes of dominating the same market.
