The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure may be undergoing an expansion as soon as Summer 2012!
Apparently The Lost Continent area isn't very popular anymore and Harry Potter just might take over that region of the park within the next 2 to 3 years!

Butterbeer is consumed by about half of the park goers who show up at Islands of Adventure to see Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
If you plan on getting the drink from the Islands of Adventure Florida theme park you can expect the drink to be drawn from a tap, like a beer, and the dense, whipped topping added from a separate tap. It's served in cups, about $3 ($4 for frozen) for a disposable cup and about $10 ($11 for frozen) for a hard plastic souvenir stein.
FoxNews.com interviewed some Wizarding World of Harry Potter guests and got rave reveiws, and even better, a possible recipe!
One guest said if he were trying to make the drink at home, he'd "start with a good cream soda." The hard part, he said, would be the topping: "It tastes like a Werther's caramel candy but the foam had the consistency of a dairy or latte type of foam. It's pretty dense; it floats on top."
No need to travel to Hogsmeade (or to Universal Orlando) to get a taste of Harry Potter's butterbeer. Universal isn't giving out its recipe, but we've created an easy version of the formerly fictional drink made famous by the young wizard.
BUTTERBEER
Start to finish: 1 hour (10 minutes active)
Servings: 4
1 cup light or dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
6 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
3/4 cup heavy cream, divided
1/2 teaspoon rum extract
Four 12-ounce bottles cream soda
In a small saucepan over medium, combine the brown sugar and water. Bring to a gentle boil and cook, stirring often, until the mixture reads 240 F on a candy thermometer.
Stir in the butter, salt, vinegar and 1/4 heavy cream. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
Once the mixture has cooled, stir in the rum extract.
In a medium bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar mixture and the remaining 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Use an electric mixer to beat until just thickened, but not completely whipped, about 2 to 3 minutes.
To serve, divide the brown sugar mixture between 4 tall glasses (about 1/4 cup for each glass). Add 1/4 cup of cream soda to each glass, then stir to combine. Fill each glass nearly to the top with additional cream soda, then spoon the whipped topping over each.

Islands of Adventure, although because of the low light, it's more of an audio ride-through. Despide the bad video quality here, rest assured the visuals on the ride are bright and colorful (when they're supposed to be).

Ok, so I take back everything I said about Universal's advertising for Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure being a bit weak.
Virgin Atlantic Airways (London) has introduced its new Harry Potter logojet to help promote Universal Studios' "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter".

Universal's official Wizarding World of Harry Potter website has a new feature. From the main page, if you click on Hogsmeade, you'll be taken to an eye-level view just inside the entrance. From here when you move the mouse pointer left, right, up or down, your view will change, letting you virtually look around.
You can click to move to one of three spots in Hogsmeade. While it won't let you enter any buildings, you can click to read more information about the surrounding shops, restaurants and rides.

Mark Woodbury, the president of Universal creative gives you a tour of the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's
Islands of Adventure.
You'll see the Portrait Gallery with the first ever look at Hogwart's four founders - Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw. Then you'll see Dumbledore's office, then head into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
